Client Monitored Picks
Since 2001: Since our inception in 2001,
our clients have been actively monitoring our
picks after every graded selection. Posting our
basketball handicapping records to the public is
our #1 priority here at NBA
Choice. We don't hide behind false pretenses and
we keep our records available to the public
viewing to convey not only our accuracy, but our
honesty as a trusted sports service. With so many
new handicapping services popping up over the
internet every year, it's tough to find a service
that stands by their picks in an honest manner.
Needless to say, if a
sports service can't show their documented NBA
records on the site for the world to see, then you
simply can't trust them. Here, we don't hide
anything from our customers, nor the public, as we
keep all of our records posted and up-to-date.
Each basketball pick is hand graded and monitored
by our clients. We stand by our picks and
our clients stand by us!

After many of his teammates had left the court on Monday afternoon, Tim Duncan was still there, headphones on, taking jumper after jumper. They weren’t from beyond the 3-point line.
The defending world champion San Antonio Spurs attempt to take a 2-0 lead over the Phoenix Suns tonight at the AT&T Center, as the teams continue their first-round playoff series. Game 3 of this best-of-seven series is scheduled for Friday at the US Airways Center.
Game Preview: San Antonio finished in second place in the Southwest Division and is the third seed in the West playoffs. The Suns placed second in the Pacific and are seeded sixth. In Game 1, Tim Duncan finished with 40 points and 15 rebounds and tied the game in overtime with his first three-pointer of the season, but it was Manu Ginobili's layup with 1.8 seconds remaining in the second overtime that lifted the Spurs to a thrilling 117-115 win over the Suns at the AT&T Center.
After Steve Nash tied the game with a flailing three from the left corner with 15.7 seconds to play in the second OT, Ginobili beat Raja Bell down the left side of the lane and banked in a layup to put the Spurs on top. Nash's 70-foot heave was well off the mark as the buzzer sounded and the Spurs escaped with a dramatic win.
Ginobili scored 24 points for the third-seeded Spurs, who have won seven straight playoff contests. Tony Parker added 26 points, while Michael Finley scored 13, including a three-pointer in the waning seconds of regulation to force overtime.
Amare Stoudemire led the Suns with 33 points, but fouled out late in the first overtime. Nash contributed 25 points and 13 assists, while Boris Diaw and Leandro Barbosa added 12 points apiece for Phoenix, which has dropped three straight playoff games. Shaquille O'Neal scored 11, but played just 30 minutes due to foul trouble.
The Spurs and Suns have both won two straight Game 2s in the postseason. There is a lot of playoff history between the teams, as this is the ninth time that the clubs have met in the postseason. The Suns defeated San Antonio in the first round in 1992 and 2000 and in the semis in 1993. The Spurs beat Phoenix in the opening round in 1996, 1998 and 2003 and also in the 2005 Western Conference finals.
Last year, the Suns were eliminated by the Spurs, 4-2, in a very physical and emotional Western Conference semifinals series. The series took an interesting turn in Game 4, which was won by the Suns. Veteran Robert Horry committed a flagrant foul on Steve Nash. Amare Stoudemire and Boris Diaw left the Phoenix bench briefly, and both were suspended for Game 5. Horry received a two-game suspension for his role in the incident. San Antonio won Game 5, 88-85, at US Airways Center and eliminated the Suns with a 114-106 victory in Game 6 at the AT&T Center.
The last time the Spurs lost in the first round of the playoffs was in 2000, when they lost to the Suns, 3-1. During the regular season, the Suns were 3-1 against San Antonio. The teams split a pair of contests at Phoenix, while the Suns swept two meetings at the AT&T Center. The last time the Suns lost in round one was when they fell to the Spurs in six games during the 2003 postseason.
San Antonio was 34-7 at home during the regular season, while Phoenix was 25-16 as the visitor.
Our Point: After game, 1 the betting public are lining up with their money on the Suns tonight as 65% of the betting public are taking the 1.5 point underdog. The Suns no doubt are the sexy pick in this one, and for good reason. They have Shaq, Nash, and Amari, which should be enough to win every game in this series. The Spurs are the contending champs, and they have the most playoff experience here by all means. But, what about savvy vets like Grant Hill and Shaq has some rings himself. When looking at this game, it's hard not to like the Suns. They swept the regular season at the Spurs, and should have won game 1 by all means. Further, the Spurs are a boring team, plain and simple. The Bottom Line: With all the hype around this series, game 1 proved to be exactly what this league has been looking for, 2 teams so evenly matched, it's hard to bet against either team. So, with that said, assuming both teams are evenly matched right down the middle, you simply can't bet against the home dominant Spurs coming off a win. The Suns did everything they could in game 1 to get the win, but still came up sort. Shaq complaining about the refs and the flops from game 1 will do the Suns no favor on the road against the champs. The fact is, to beat the Spurs on their home floor, you have to play a perfect game from start to finish. The Suns are far from perfect on defense as this has been their achilles heel all season long allowing nearly 110 points per game on the road. The Spurs on the other hand, have allowed less than 89 ppg at home. Manu Ginobli was able to score at will against the Suns in both overtimes and it often looked like the Suns were not playing any defense at all.
The Spurs know what it takes to win championships - defense, and they have proven to be championship worthy. The Suns can't seem to beat the Spurs in the playoffs, no matter how hard they try. Thus, we can't consider the Suns sweep at the Spurs during the regular season this year, this is the playoffs and the Spurs are a completely different team this time of year. We would love to bet on the Suns tonight as the slight underdog, along with the rest of the betting public. But, we simply can't. The Spurs have too many weapons and such a deep bench. Further, they have only lost 7 games at home all season! The line opened at 2 and is now down to 1.5, and 1 in many places. This is basically a pick em at this point, and the Spurs will win tonight at home. The Spurs are 8-2 SU their last 10 games at home. Bowen had 0 points in game 1, look for him to step up tonight and knock down some key 3 pointers heading down the stretch. This will be another close game, but the Spurs will hit their foul shots and cover comfortably in the final minutes.
DON'T BET AGAINST THE CHAMPS AT HOME! Spurs -1.5 is the play.
